| DOC Holds Last Horse Adoption Of Season |

CASPER — State correctional officers recently held their final wild horse adoption program of the year at the Wyoming Honor Farm, officials said. Wyoming Department of Corrections public information officer Melinda Brazzale said 38 horses were put up for adoption during the two-day program Aug. 27-28. Brazzale said 18 of the horses were successfully adopted through the competitive bidding process. The BLM contracts with the Wyoming Honor Farm for the inmates to gentle wild horses throughout the year. Brazzale said after a period of time, the horses are offered for adoption to the public.
