Prerelease Center Looses Violent Inmate

A registered violent offender walked away from the Great Falls Prerelease Center Wednesday morning.

Employees at the center would not say late Wednesday whether Felicia Hammer-Spotted Eagle was again in custody.

Hammer-Spotted Eagle, 28, checked out of the center at 9 a.m. and did not arrive at her scheduled work destination.

The Montana Department of Corrections website states that Hammer-Spotted Eagle was sentenced to 60 months in prison on March 20, 2009, after violating her probation following 2003 convictions of robbery and criminal mischief.
