| Stay Of Execution Potentially Overturned |

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Attorney General Jack Conway and the Kentucky Department of Corrections asked the Kentucky Supreme Court Monday to overturn a stay of execution granted convicted murderer Gregory Wilson. Pleadings filed by Conway and the department ask the high court to order that Wilson, 53, be executed on Thursday according to the death warrant signed last month by Gov. Steve Beshear. As of late Monday, the court had not scheduled a hearing on the petitions. The requests were prompted by Franklin Circuit Judge Phillip Shepherd’s order on Friday blocking Wilson’s execution.
