| No License, Man Still Gets DUI |

UTLAND – A Poultney man with three lifetime bans on his ability to drive in Vermont was back in court this week to answer charges he allegedly caused a drunken car crash. Richard M. Fleury, 38, pleaded innocent Monday in Vermont District Court to felony charges of drunken driving, fifth offense, and refusing to take a breathalyzer test and misdemeanor charges of driving with a suspended license and careless or negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Fleury, who was cited to appear in court, was freed on conditions of release but not bail. The Poultney man's criminal record dates back to 1990 when he was first arrested for unlawful mischief.
