A grand jury returned direct indictments Monday for Jeremiah Lee Stump, 30, for capital murder involving a robbery, as well as a charge of robbery of a residence and use of a firearm. Stump initially had been charged with second-degree murder. Punishment for a capital murder charge could include the death penalty. The body of Chad Evan English, 19, was found outside of his family's Glade Hill home May 17. He had been shot in the head. Stump was arrested and charged with murder later that day. Read More. |
