A former officer at the federal prison for women in Danbury was sentenced to three years probation for having sex with an inmate and then lying about it. New Haven resident Gregory Webb will spend the first six months of his probation confined to his home with electronic monitoring. He's also been ordered to complete 500 hours of community service. The 41-year-old pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Hartford this February to having oral sex with an inmate while he was on duty last September. He then lied to federal officials who were investigating the sexual abuse of an inmate. Webb is prohibited from seeking re-employment as a law enforcement officer. |
