SPRINGS MILLS - A fugitive inmate who escaped from a transport van early Wednesday morning in the Spring Mills area remained unaccounted for as of Thursday, more than 24 hours after he managed to run free, police said. "At this time the suspect still remains at large," West Virginia State Police Sgt. T.C. Kearns, Martinsburg's State Police detachment commander, said Thursday. "We have not had any sightings since his initial escape." The inmate has been identified as 36-year-old Albert Voute, who is described as a white male, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with short black hair. Read More. |
