MARION - Peaceful and beautiful are not often words used to describe a medium-security prison. Not everyone would think of its inmates being preachers of the faith. For more than a decade, Marion Correctional Institution has heard such words used to describe its efforts to promote faith-based initiatives within the prison's walls and barbed wire. Warden Maggie Beightler, who is carrying on the legacy of former warden Christine Money, keeps it simple when explaining the why. "I want them to get a sense of renewal in their faith," she said.
