The Arizona Supreme Court on Tuesday approved a death warrant against Jeffrey Timothy Landrigan, who killed a Phoenix man in 1989. Under state law, Landrigan will be executed by lethal injection in a month – provided the Arizona Department of Corrections is able to obtain the chemicals needed to carry out the execution. It will be the first execution in Arizona since May 2007. The Supreme Court without comment declined to issue a death warrant for another Death Row prisoner, Richard Bible, who killed a 9-year-old girl in Flagstaff in 1988. Read More. |
