Walter James Stitts, 47, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with robbery and theft of property over $1000 in the robbery of Randall Christopher, according to a news release from the Jackson Police Department.

Christopher, of Big Sandy, told police he was in Muse Park around 3:30 p.m. when someone grabbed him from behind in a choke hold and cut off his breathing until he was unconscious, the news release said.

When Christopher regained consciousness, his wallet, car keys and his 1999 Dodge Neon were missing. Police found the car in the 100 block of Weir Street about five hours later.
