ATLANTA — A Georgia death row inmate is asking the courts to delay his execution after he tried to commit suicide. Lawyers for Brandon Joseph Rhode have appeals in state and federal courts pending and want a delay in the execution set for 9 p.m. Friday. The 31-year-old was convicted in 2000 of killing a father and two children in their home in Jones County in central Georgia.
