Fatal Boat Crash Trial Postponed

The negligent driving trial of Erica Blizzard has been rescheduled to Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. in Laconia District Court.

Defense Counsel James Moir asked for the case to be continued until Dec. 10, as that is when Blizzard will be officially released from state custody after serving her sentence on a negligent homicide conviction in connection with a fatal boat crash.

The negligent driving case previously was postponed because the state trooper who cited her allegedly driving 83 mph on Interstate 93 in New Hampton while keying in numbers on her cell phone was attending mandatory U.S. armed forces training.
