James is serving a one- to three-year sentence at the State Correctional Institution in Woods Run for credit card fraud to support his drug habit. The Reading man is one of 300 inmates placed in a "therapeutic community," or TC, in which they receive intensive therapy for drug or alcohol addiction. He's also helping other residents by serving as a peer facilitator. "I've definitely benefited from being in this program," said James, 43. "I've realized that I have so much more potential than I had in my past life."
