| University Notifies Students Of Sex Offenders |

As a protective measure, federal law requires campuses to inform students of registered sex offenders attending or employed by the university. The Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act of 2000 mandates that sex offenders report to the state if they attend or are employed by any institution of higher education. UW-Oshkosh has six registered sex offenders, including four that must register each year for the rest of their lives because of their crimes. The six offenders have various judgments: one conviction of first-degree sexual assault of a child, two convictions of second-degree sexual assault of a child, one conviction of possession of child pornography, one first-degree sexual assault and one conviction of third-degree sexual assault.
