Tishomingo — The Oklahoma Department of Corrections has launched an investigation after two inmate workers were found fighting and drinking on the job.

Assistant District Attorney Charles Migliorino said Terry Martin, 30, and Rusty Glazier, 38, pleaded guilty Monday to misdemeanor charges of public intoxication and assault and battery.

The two men were working for the City of Tishomingo through the Department of Corrections’ Madill Community Work Center.

Police Chief Shannon Smith said that shortly before 5 p.m. last Wednesday they received a call about one of the inmates lying on the ground near a tractor they had been using to mow grass, apparently injured. A police investigation determined the two inmates were intoxicated and had gotten into a fight with one another.
