CRANSTON, R.I.—A Rhode Island prisons spokeswoman says a man has taken his own life in his jail cell in Cranston. The Providence Journal reports that the 52-year-old man hanged himself on Friday in his cell at the intake center at the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston. The Journal says the man was previously convicted of child molestation and was then jailed earlier this month on a probation violation. Read More. |
