Two Marion County residents were sentenced Thursday after being convicted of possession of illegal gambling machines at their business in Foxworth. Buster Buchanan was sentenced to two years with the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with one year house arrest and one year suspended. He also was fined $3,000. Buchanan, whose poor health was taken into consideration, was sentenced as a felon because it was his second conviction on illegal gaming. Jeri Buchanan was sentenced on the same offense as a misdemeanor because it was her first conviction. She was sentenced to three months in the Marion County Jail, which was suspended, and fined $500.
