| State Prison Gets New Superintendent |

The 52-year-old Mercer County resident started his 28-year career in the state prison system as a corrections officer at the State Correctional Institution at Rockview. In 2004 he came to SCI Albion to serve as deputy superintendent for facility management under Superintendent Marilyn S. Brooks. After serving as superintendent of SCI Mercer, he returned to Albion in August to fill a position left by retiring Superintendent Raymond Sobina. Harlow talked recently about his career in state corrections and about what it takes to oversee a medium-security facility with 565 employees and more than 2,300 inmates. Read More. |
