GLEN RIDGE -- Three days after being released from state prison, a 67-year-old Belleville man was arrested in connection with early-morning burglaries at two Glen Ridge homes, borough police said. Joseph Garramore was charged Saturday with two counts of burglary, two counts of theft, two counts of receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and criminal trespass, said Lt. Fredric Egnezzo of the Glen Ridge Police Department. A woman in one of the homes on Snowden Place called police about 3:45 a.m. to report seeing a strange man driving her Ford SUV out of her driveway, Egnezzo said. Montclair police later spotted the stolen SUV abandoned on Woodland Avenue. Glen Ridge police then found Garramore nearby and arrested him. Police also discovered another stolen vehicle, from Newark, at Hamilton Road and Lincoln Street, which police think Garramore was driving before committing the burglaries, Egnezzo said. Read More. |
