| Woman On Probation Sneaking Drugs In Jail |

(Stillwater, Okla.) -- A Cushing woman who is on probation for passing a $50 forged check on a relative's account at Escott's Grocery Store was charged today with possessing contraband in the Stillwater City Jail -- listed as tobacco products and pills. If convicted of her latest charge in Payne County, Brenda Renae Stinnett, 32, could be given a 20-year prison term and a $10,000 fine. In January, when she was given a three-year suspended sentence except 90 days in jail for passing a forged check in Cushing in 2009, Stinnett was ordered to follow treatment recommendations -- including the Payne County Drug Court program. However, on Sept. 13, she was arrested in Lincoln County for possession of a drug and drug paraphernalia, according to Department of Corrections Payne County Community Sentencing Specialist Dee Miller. For her alleged probation violation in her Payne County forgery case, "Ms. Stinnett was given a 10-day jail sanction on Sept. 27, 2010 in the city of Stillwater jail," Miller wrote in a report to the court.
