| TN County Jail Concentrates On Improving |

CLINTON, Tenn. — The Anderson County Jail Subcommittee met recently to discuss options for addressing issues noted by the state jail inspector earlier this month. The Anderson County jail, during an inspection on Sept. 1, was cited for inmate overcrowding and a leaking roof, according to County Law Director Jay Yeager. "We were lucky. They could have had 100 findings on us," Yeager said during the subcommittee meeting, held last week in the County Commission room at the Anderson County Courthouse. As for the roof, a few months ago the Anderson County Commission set aside $200,000 to fix the existing roof. Read More. |
