PORTSMOUTH — A recent $100,000 New Hampshire lottery winner charged with purchasing prescription drugs for distribution will be asked to prove her bail money isn't tied to criminal conduct if she seeks release pending trial. Paula M. Cahill, 51, of 273 Cass Street #1 is slated to appear in Portsmouth District Court on Oct. 12 for a probable cause hearing on three felony drug charges. Court documents show Cahill will not be able to post her $25,000 bail and be released without a "Nebbia" hearing that requires a judge to decide whether any future posted bail comes from a legitimate source.
