| Tip Leads To Escapee's Arrest |

Acting on a tip, Cowlitz County sheriff's deputies Sunday night arrested one of "Washington's Most Wanted" at a house in the Lexington area. The tipster told dispatchers he recognized Eric Mitchell Lair, 26, of Longview from a televised "most wanted" report. The Daily News also ran a story about Lair's escape from a Department of Corrections vehicle while on his way to jail Oct. 1. Lair kicked his way out of the caged vehicle and jumped from the slow-moving vehicle, still wearing handcuffs, according to a Longview police report. Read More. |
