| Wisc. Sex Offender Released After 8 Years |

A registered sex offender will be released from his third stint in prison today and will be returned to live in Wausau, according to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Jason L. Ehrfurth, 35, of Wausau spent more than eight years in prison after two convictions on sexual assault charges, according to court records. He was sent back to prison twice for violating the terms of his probation, records show. The Department of Corrections notifies the public when certain sex offenders are released from prison because of the severity of their offenses and the potential risk they pose to re-offend. Ehrfurth is a lifetime sex offender registrant and will be actively supervised by corrections agents until December 2027, according to the Department of Corrections. Read More. |
