| WA Escapee Charged For Stealing Handcuffs |

LONGVIEW, Wash. (October 11, 2010)--A 26-year-old Washington State man who managed to escape from a Department of Corrections car while handcuffed is facing charges for, among other things, the theft of the handcuffs. The Daily News of Longview, Wash., reported that Eric Mitchell Lair was arrested Oct. 1 on a felony warrant. His hands were cuffed behind his back, but he was still was able to open the door of the car and run off before authorities could take him to the Cowlitz County Jail.
