| Felon Pleads Not Guilty To Murder |

Charles E. Brown, 46, pleaded innocent Tuesday morning to charges of second-degree murder in the September blunt-force-trauma death of a 40-year-old Cameron woman. Laurice V. Villavicencio (also Blackhair), was found dead in a room at the Route 66 Motel on Sept. 18. The Coconino County Medical Examiner later ruled the death a homicide. Brown was arrested and a grand jury charged him with murder "under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to human life, recklessly engaged in conduct which created a grave risk of death and thereby caused the death of Laurice Villavicencio." Brown was released from prison in July after serving seven months for a cocaine possession conviction, according to the Florida Department of Corrections. Read More. |
