MILLVILLE — Police said a woman who claimed she and her son were shot by a burglar on Monday lied to police, who said they believe the two were instead accidently shot by the child's father and woman's boyfriend. City police are now looking for the shooter, who fled after the shooting. Police said a warrant with $75,000 bail was issued for Markese Childers, 27, charging him with two counts apiece of aggravated assault and endangering an injured victim. Police also said he faces endangering the welfare of a child and several weapons charges. Childers should not be approached, police said, because they consider him to be armed and dangerous.
