A Wanganui prisoner's plan to get his mates to throw packages of cannabis into the city's prison grounds has been foiled. The alarm was raised after the prison's telephone monitoring system picked up on the scheme, prison manager Hati Kaiwai said. Information was then passed on to prison management who moved the prisoner and stopping the planned "throw-over". "Unfortunately some criminals don't stop their offending behaviour when they are sentenced to prison,".
