| SC Max-Security Prison Gets New Warden |

RIDGEVILLE -- A new warden has been named at the maximum-security Lieber Correctional Institution, the S.C. Department of Corrections announced. Wayne McCabe, 54, began his career in 1986 as a correctional officer at Stevenson Correctional Institution in Columbia, the release said. He has risen through the ranks over his 24-year career, serving as a sergeant, then as captain in several facilities and as associate warden at Broad River Correctional Institution in Columbia. McCabe most recently served as warden at Watkins Pre- Release Center in Columbia. Read More. |
