A former Easton man imprisoned in 2006 on charges of shooting a man in a public housing development in Easton is wanted for escape after leaving a state prison work release program in Berks County Sunday morning without authorization, state police said. A warrant for the arrest of Devin Cosme, 21, for escape has been issued, according to state police at Reading. Cosme left the Wernersville Community Correctional Facility in Berks County sometime between 4 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. without signing out, according to a facility spokeswoman. The facility is a halfway house for inmates preparing to re-enter society, and inmates are allowed to leave for work, education or training.
