| Inmate To Appear In Court For Guard's Assault |

(Stillwater, Okla.) -- A state prison inmate has been ordered to appear in Payne County District Court on Oct. 26 on a felony charge of assaulting and battering a guard while he was incarcerated at the Cimarron Correctional Facility in Cushing on Sept. 26. Kevin Anthony Sandefur, 25, is now being held at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester, according to the state Department of Corrections website. After Sandefur completes a seven-year prison term in 2011 for two counts of armed robbery in 2004 in Stephens County, he is slated to begin serving a four-year prison term for escape from the Department of Corrections in 2007 in Atoka County, DOC records show.
