DETROIT - Mark Vernon Titus, a 46-year-old Grosse Pointe Park resident, is facing eight counts of criminal sexual conduct. The Michigan Department of Corrections probation officer is accused of repeatedly sexually assaulting a 35-year-old Detroit woman in 2008. At the time, Titus was supervising the woman's probation. "We are alleging that he abused his capacity as a probation officer for the Michigan Department of Corrections by assaulting her sexually, and this took place over a period of months from approximately April of 2008 through and including August of 2008," said Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.
