Man Kidnaps, Rapes Again Despite Conviction |

The registered sex offender accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting an El Dorado County teen was convicted a decade ago on similar charges, according to state officials. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said 35-year-old Jason Sigur was convicted of molesting a child under the age of 14 in 1999. Sigur was paroled in 2003 and monitored by officials for as long as the law allowed, and then was only required to register as a sex offender. Sigur was arrested last week after he allegedly struck up an online relationship with a 13-year-old girl while portraying himself as a 14-year-old boy, and then kidnapped her and took her back to his trailer in a Dunnigan RV park.
