| AZ Man Killed By Police Had Criminal Past |

A 34-year-old man who died Monday after attempting to steal a police car and crashing into a bus downtown had an extensive criminal history, police said. Joseph E. Molina was shot to death by Tucson police Officer James Wakeman after he pointed a gun at the officer twice and drove away in a police car, according to a Tucson Police Department news release. Wakeman shot Molina before the suspect drove away in the police car and crashed into a Sun Tran bus, said Sgt. Matt Ronstadt, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.
