| Board Hears Report From OK Detention Center |

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County Governmental Building Authority members heard a brief report Wednesday from Detention Center Administrator Loyd Bickel. Bickel’s report was the only item on the agenda other than paying the authority’s bills and approving payroll. Bickel’s report is given monthly and doesn’t require action to be taken by the board. Bickel said 107 inmates were housed at the 150-bed facility Wednesday morning. Ten were being held in the booking area and one of the 10 is a juvenile. Read More. |
