An Ocala man is facing his second DUI manslaughter charge in two years after the car he was driving early Saturday afternoon struck and killed a Hawthorne motorcyclist on Northeast Jacksonville Road. John E. Medeiros, 58 of Ocala, was arrested Saturday afternoon, October 23, 2010 in Ocala, FL. Medeiros was charged with driving while license cancelled, DUI manslaughter and violation of probation charge for driving while license suspended for revoked felony. The crash occurred on Northeast Jacksonville Road and Northeast 77th Street in Ocala. Medeiros collided with Dwayne E. Bradley of Hawthorne, FL, who was riding a motorcycle. Bradley was flown to Shands at the University of Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL, where he later died. Killed was Dwayne E. Bradley, 39, of Hawthorne, who was riding a red 2007 Honda motorcycle at the time of the accident. His death is the 65th this year on Ocala or Marion County roads. John E. Medeiros, 58, of Ocala, was charged with driving with a canceled license, DUI manslaughter and violation of probation on a felony charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license.
