As the Halloween holiday approaches and kids throughout Palm Beach County prepare to dress up in costumes and search for candy, local law enforcement agencies are warning one group not to participate. The county's registered sex offenders. In a joint operation between the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Sexual Predator/Offender Tracking Unit (SPOT), the Delray Beach Police Department, the U.S. Marshal's Task Force and the Department of Corrections Wednesday night, about 30 officers conducted an unannounced sweep focusing on registered sex offenders currently on probation in southern Palm Beach County.
