Should a proposed site in Fairfield fall through, Vacaville would be a viable alternate locale for a prison re-entry facility. So said the Vacaville City Council at its Tuesday meeting, voting 4 to 1 to adopt a resolution allowing the consideration of a Secure Community Re-entry Facility to be built on state-owned property near the California Medical Facility. Councilwoman Pauline Clancy was the lone dissenter. "I think it's going to be a win-win," said Councilman Ron Rowlett, emphasizing that the action merely allows the city and the state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to explore the concept.
