| DOC Van Collides With Car, Injuries Reported |

IONIA COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) – Two people were hospitalized Wednesday after an accident involving a Department of Corrections prisoner transport van. The Ionia County Sheriff's Office says Dillon Youngstrom of Ionia was driving his vehicle westbound on Main Street when he attempted turn around in the access drive to the Well Street correctional facility. He then reentered the roadway, directly into the path of the transport van, which did not have time to stop. Youngstrom was pinned inside his vehicle and the 'jaws of life' were required to free him.
