Nearly 15 years ago, when Jason Stephen Sigur pleaded no contest to lewd or lascivious acts with a minor, he was a 19-year-old with no criminal history. In the Dunnigan man's latest Yolo County court appearance Oct. 19, prosecutors charged Sigur, now 35, with nearly a dozen felony counts that included lewd or lascivious acts on a child under 14 and aggravated sexual assault of a child. They also added enhancements alleging that Sigur is a "habitual criminal," according to a complaint filed in Yolo Superior Court. Each count carries a life sentence, prosecutors said.
