A sex offender who fled the city of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, was located in Laredo and arrested by U.S. Marshals. Leo Hernandez, 27, was caught in Laredo by the federal agents in an operation that was coordinated with police officers in Sheboygan. Hernandez escaped a site where he was sentenced to remain held as a convicted sex offender. He was prosecuted in 2002 for two counts of second-degree sexual assault against a minor. The Wisconsin Department of Corrections had placed Hernandez in special accommodation after he failed to register as a sex offender but he escaped in September. Read More. |
