| Gov. Steps In To Discuss MI Violence |

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Michigan presents a town hall meeting, “Lets Work Together to Prevent Violent Crime,” at Western International High School, 1500 Scotten Street, Detroit, Michigan on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., the Department of Justice announced Friday. Featured speakers include U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy, ATF Special Agent in Charge Thomas Brandon, Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee, and FBI Special Agent in Charge Andrew Arena. Also in attendance will be representatives from Homeland Security Investigations, Michigan Department of Corrections, Michigan State Police, U.S. Marshal's Service, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Wayne County Sheriff's Department. McQuade stated, “We refuse to simply accept the current violent crime rate as normal.
