BAY CITY — More than a year after the bludgeoned body of Debra K. Kukla was found inside the garage of her Bay City home, family members say they are frustrated that her killer has not been brought to justice. About 2:15 a.m. on June 22, 2009, Bay City police officers responded to a call of a woman down at Kukla’s house at 708 N. Dean St. An autopsy revealed Kukla was killed via bludgeoning. Though no one has been charged with the killing, the case’s lead detective says he wrapped up his investigation nearly a year ago. “It’s done. It’s completed,” said Bay City police Detective Dean Vosler, adding he submitted his final report seeking an arrest warrant to the Bay County Prosecutor’s Office in November. Read More. |
