| Woman Involved In Child Abuse Will Serve No More Than 15 Years |

MANITOWOC — Attorneys agreed to cap a prison sentence at 15 years of initial confinement for a 25-year-old Newton woman who pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual assault of a child as a party to a crime Tuesday in Manitowoc County Circuit Court. The woman admitted taking sexually explicit photographs of three girls — ages 2, 5 and 7 — and sexually assaulting one after a Wisconsin Department of Corrections officer found the pornographic images on a registered sex offender's cell phone, according to the criminal complaint. The woman's name has been withheld to protect the identity of the victims. Attorneys agreed to amend the charge to party to a crime because she took the photographs for the arousal of the sex offender, Jeffrey Prahl, 29, of Whitelaw. Prahl was sentenced to life in prison without parole in September. Read More. |
