A La Crosse woman on probation for the 2007 death of her newborn daughter is back in jail again after violating her supervision by drinking alcohol and smoking synthetic marijuana. La Crosse police found two small bags of K2 in Indra Book’s purse early Tuesday while searching a friend’s Pearl Street apartment after an anonymous complaint, according to reports. Book, 22, had a 0.05 alcohol concentration. The state Department of Corrections could move to revoke her probation for drinking. A La Crosse County judge in July sentenced Book to 45 days in jail with 11 days credit for violating probation by drinking alcohol and assaulting a 30-year-old man. Read More. |
