SAGINAW — A 41-year-old Saginaw man convicted of raping a woman he once worked with at a halfway house will serve the rest of his 17-year-plus sentence, the state Court of Appeals has ruled. A jury in January 2009 sentenced Johnnie D. Gordon, who last lived at 1116 N. Fourth, of first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct and first-degree home invasion in the May 12, 2007 incident. Prosecutors said Gordon, then 38, saw the woman and her friend dancing in a Saginaw bar and, after the woman refused to dance with him, followed her to a restaurant and later to her house, where he had sex with her.
