| Escapees' Helpers Facing Charges |

Charges have been filed in Daviess County against three subjects who were involved in the escape of three inmates from the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail on Oct. 24. Kayla L. Evans, 19, Osborn, Samantha Bulson, 20, Mexico, and Travis Evans, 20, Osborn, have each been charged with three counts of aiding escape of prisoner confined for felony, class B felonies. Kayla Evans was also charged with delivering weapon at correctional facility, class B felony. Bond was set at $100,000 for each subject. According to the probable cause statements, Samantha Bulson knowingly gave Kayla Evans a bag containing wire cutters to be delivered to the jail. Kayla Evans knowingly placed the wire cutters on the outside of the fenced recreational area at the jail. Travis Evans, who was an inmate at the jail, assisted the three inmates by organizing through a third party the delivery of the wire cutters to the jail facility. Dustin Farmer 29, Gallatin, was arrested near the intersection of Missouri 6 and Route CC in Daviess County on Oct. 28 for outstanding traffic warrants from the City of Braymer (1), City of Gallatin (7), Ray County (1), and Clinton County (3). He was arrested for felony possession of controlled substance and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia. He is being held on $35,000 bond. Bond for the traffic warrants totaled $1,899. Read More. |
