| Sex Offender Was Living Near School |

As police across the Los Angeles region search for a registered habitual sex offender who removed his GPS tracking device and left the South Pasadena Convalescent Hospital, South Pas officials take steps to prohibit sex offenders from living near schools and parks. Under California's Penal Code, registered sex offenders cannot reside within 2,000 feet of schools or parks where children gather. According to police, four registered sex offenders are currently listed as residents of the Convalescent Home and the nearby Prospect Manor, an assisted living facility in South Pasadena. Stanley Morrow, 54, a parolee with two prior convictions for sexual battery and molesting children, resided at the Convalescent Hospital at 904 Mission Street, located 300 feet from an after-school daycare program at the Recreation Division Building and Orange Grove Park.
