| Halloween Night Scary For Sex Offenders |

ELKHORN — The homes of 70 registered sex offenders under the watch of the state Department of Corrections were visited Halloween night by law enforcement personnel who were in no mood for tricks or treats. Seven violators were arrested and taken to jail for violating the rules of their supervised release. Warrants were issued for another two for not being home when guys in real uniforms showed up at their homes for unannounced visits. More than 10 percent of the registered sex offenders visited were arrested, said Walworth County Sheriff's Capt. Scott McClory. He is an organizer of what has become an annual law enforcement event.
