| Almost 20 Gang Members Arrested |

TRENTON — The alleged leader and 18 members and associates of a set of the Bloods street gang were indicted today, authorities said. A state grand jury indicted the 19 defendants, alleged members of the Nine Trey Headbustas set, on 42 counts, including racketeering, weapons offenses, drug trafficking and murder, according to a press release from the state Attorney General’s office. The list of defendants includes Michael Anderson 38, who authorities said directed the gang from behind bars in a Trenton state prison using a prison phone. Three other suspects — Syree Hakins, 38, of West Orange; Davon Parker, 22, of Edison; Tyrane Mathis, 34, of Newark — are also accused in the 2008 killing of Devin Thompson in New Brunswick.
